We were hearing about a new U11 variant from HTC that’ll have the new 18:9 Display & will be powered by the Snapdragon 652. Well that device is the HTC U11 EYEs & thanks to Evan Blass, we have all the details including some pictures of the actual device.

So, the HTC U11 EYEs will come with a 6 inch 2160×1080 (18:9) Display that is again an LCD type, the 28 nm Snapdragon 652 Octacore SOC, 4 Gigabytes of RAM, 64GB of Internal Storage, a 3930 mAh Battery, IP67 Water Resistance. The device will come with Android Nougat out of the box which isn’t appreciated in any 2018 device at all.
I personally don’t like the 28nm Snapdragon 652 that much. Though it is more powerful compared to something like a Snapdragon 625 but, it’s super Battery Hungry & it also gets pretty hot, pretty easily. So, I would have appreciated something like a Snapdragon 630 or 660 but, HTC went with the Snapdragon 652 so, I don’t know the reason but, personally not happy with this decision cause, though it won’t be a super expensive device, but, it won’t be cheap either.
However, HTC is actually keeping the features like Edge Sense that is the Squeeze to Trigger feature found in the U11, U11 Plus. Also, the device will be available in Black, Blue & even that Solar Red color that got pretty popular in the U11.
It also comes with a Dual Front Camera setup so, not sure if it’s Purpose is to take Portraits or Wide Angle Selfies but, it is definitely a Selfie focused device anyway.
The launch date for the HTC U11 EYEs is going to be 15 January of 2018 so, it’s almost here. The device will first arrive in China & later in the other parts of the world.
